A great way to reduce the hollow pinging sound would be to add foam into the case of your mechanical keyboard.
This foam utilizes a higher density compressible cotton/foam material in order to achieve this effect.
If done correctly, there would be an overall change in the sound signature of your keyboard, reducing the hollowness of the keyboard.

Please note that foam will be folded during packaging and that you will be getting an entire piece of 15cm*50cm foam per order. We give about 16cm approximately for the width to account for potential cutting alignment issues. This should be more than enough to fit the area of your case. Do remember to measure just to confirm!
