Designer’s Note

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the HHKB layout. There’s something undeniably elegant about its simplicity, symmetry, and efficiency. But like many others, I’ve grown to rely on dedicated arrow keys.

So I asked myself: what if I didn’t have to choose?

Dimple is my interpretation of a compact, HHKB-inspired keyboard. It keeps the iconic blockers and balanced silhouette, while reimagining the layout in a smaller 40% footprint with dedicated arrow keys.

The name comes from its distinctive shape. A symmetrical HHKB, but with smaller blockers, subtle, quiet details that give the board its character, much like dimples.
