Workshops / teams and groups

Your type of afternoon.

Nobody in your group needs to know a linear switch from a tactile. We do, and that is what we are here for. Have fun, build a custom mechanical keyboard, and take it home the same day. That is your job.

Fair warning. People have walked in for one workshop and walked out with a hobby.

The workshop table mid-build, kits open, and a cup at the back that reads Always Half Full

At the table

The cup at the back reads Always Half Full. It is there on purpose. Might be our greatest shot yet.

01 / What you build

What goes into your keyboard

Three parts, and all three are your call. Hover or tap one. We drew it from the keyboard your group builds, down to the stabilisers under the spacebar.

Keycaps

You touch these more than anything else on the desk. Profile and material change how a key feels under your finger, and colour changes the whole board.

Switches

Linear, tactile, silent or clicky decides how a key feels and most of how it sounds.

The base

Aluminium or plastic. It carries most of the sound and sets the angle your hands sit at. You pick this first.

02 / Our rates

The part everyone scrolls to first.

Rates are per guest and include a S$20 workshop fee. The fee covers your seat at the table, our time, and every “wait, where does this go?”. Because even keyboard warriors need food and pay rent.

The Experience

First build

From S$80 / guest

A first build, done properly. One keyboard size, a few switches to choose between, a few keycap sets, and us by your side for all of it.

No Holds Barred

Whole store

No rates here, just start shopping!

The entire store is the menu, with a corporate discount on it. We help you spend it well, or not. Same thing, still by your side.

Ask about the other packagesOne email and we'll send you our rate card.

tl;dr: worth it

03 / Before the day, and at the table

You will press a lot of switches. Then you will have opinions.

Your group picks their parts before the day, from a list we keep short on purpose. We opened all hundred-odd switches once and decision fatigue set in before the coffee did. Swap on the day itself.

The shortlist

Over a hundred switches in stock. Two of each kind on the table. You will still have opinions.

At your place

Transport, logistics and setup on top

We load the tools and the parts into a van and set up at yours. Transport, logistics and setup are added on top, and what they cost depends on the venue and the distance, so we quote them.

06 / Questions

Questions people ask

Does anyone need to know anything about keyboards?

No. We explain each step and stay at the table. The only skill you bring is patience and strong fingers.

How long does it take?

About 2.5 hours. Groups that deliberate add an hour, and most do.

How does booking work?

Tell us the number of guests and a few dates, and we send a quote. Once you pick a date we bring the parts, the tools and the people, everyone builds, and the keyboards go home that day. Drop by anytime after to tune anything.

Can we choose our own boards and keycaps?

Yes, before the day, from your package's shortlist. At the table you get a window to swap or top up, and No Holds Barred picks from the whole store.

What happens if someone cannot make it?

That is fine. We take a deposit before the day, and if someone cannot make it we do not charge for that guest. If they get FOMO and want the board anyway, we will build it and add it to the bill.

07 / Say hello

Say hello. We don't bite, promise.

Tell us who is coming. We reply the same business day with a proposal and a price, and dates that work around the showroom calendar. We are a little proud of that.
