GMK AOI, RFID-labels and changed claims procedures

In 2025, GMK started using an Automated Optical Inspection System (AOI). This automated visual inspection is an extension of our existing quality assurance program.

GMK saves a picture of every keyset made and it is then compared with a reference picture (golden sample). This procedure allows GMK to detect missing/wrong components and a couple of other error patterns.

GMK's base kits now include RFID-labels in both trays and allow for cross-referencing with saved data. Labels are also unique, ensuring full traceability.

For our customers, please retain the original packaging of the GMK trays and provide a picture of the RFID-tag should you need to make a claim.

If your GMK set is missing a keycap, or has a defect, please reach out to hello@ktechs.store with a photo of the issue and your order number within 14 days of delivery.

Claims after this window period are considered null and void.

For issues with defects, a blemish that is visible from typing distance (approximately 50cm) when they keycap is mounted for typical use would be considered outside of tolerances. Please submit a photo of the defect from around 50cm for review.

This new process will further improve GMK's internal quality level and speed up qualified complaints.
