Why do you need Keysnap and PCBsnap?

For Keysnap:
It can serve as a new mounting style for your keyboard. If you're not satisfied with your current keyboard’s mounting or sound profile, give Keysnap a try.
Keysnap helps reduce hollow sound and makes the overall sound more solid. Its design, which firmly grips both the plate and PCB, also makes assembling and disassembling much easier.
It changes the typing feel and allows for custom tuning of flex depending on the material you choose (Silicone or FKM).

For PCBsnap:
It completely replaces the traditional O-ring cord.
One of the main issues with O-ring mounted keyboards is that the spacebar often doesn't sound as good as it could—this is usually due to the O-ring cord being too tight, which chokes the sound right under the spacebar.
PCBsnap solves this by improving the spacebar acoustics, making it sound more open and refined. You can also fine-tune the typing feel depending on the material you pick (Silicone or FKM).
Moreover, with PCBsnap, you can use screw-in stabilizers on any O-ring mounted keyboard.

Both Keysnap and PCBsnap can also function as a plateless mount kit for virtually any keyboard on the market.
Plateless mounting is typically only found on high-end keyboards, but now everyone can try it on their existing board.

Make sure to install the KeySnap while avoiding the indicated area.
Make sure to install the PCBSnap in this exact position.

If the KeySnap is installed overlapping the marked area, interference will occur between the case and the PCB, preventing proper case assembly.

KeySnap and PCBSnap can also be used with Hotswap PCBs.
When used with Hotswap PCBs, the KeySnap and PCBSnap may fit tightly against the sockets, making assembly more difficult compared to soldered or HE PCBs.

KeySnap and PCBSnap made of silicone (gray color) that fits tightly with Hotswap PCB sockets is compatible.
When using KeySnap and PCBSnap made of FKM (black color), it is recommended to use no more than two on the top side.

The following keyboards are compatible with Keysnap:
Frog mini
Frog mini leggera/ pesante
Frog TKL leggera
Glare60
Krush65
Sebas
These have been fully tested and are 100% compatible.
We cannot guarantee full compatibility with keyboards outside of this list.
We are continuing to collect more data to expand the list.

To check compatibility, try the following method:
Place the PCB into the case and center it.
If the distance from the edge of the PCB to the case wall is about 0.8–1mm, then Keysnap can be used.
FKM is significantly stiffer than silicone. It doesn’t flex or absorb vibrations like silicone, but in return, it offers less compatibility.

Manufacturer’s recommendations:

  • FKM is best used with soldered PCBs and cases where the distance from the PCB to the case wall is around 0.9–1mm.
Do not use more than 3 pieces on the top and bottom edges of the PCB.

  • Silicone can be used with both hotswap and soldered PCBs. However, when used with hotswap PCBs, it may sometimes fit quite tightly.

Purpose of the product:
Keysnap was created to replace o-rings and is mainly designed for HE keyboards and soldered PCBs.

The keyboards compatible with PCBsnap are:
Krush65
Sebas
Dune65
Cloudline
ECV1,V2
These have been fully tested and are 100% compatible.
We cannot guarantee full compatibility with keyboards outside of this list.
We are continuing to collect more data to expand the list.

To check compatibility, try the following method:
Place the PCB inside the case and center it.
If the gap from the PCB edge to the case wall is about 0.5 → 1 mm, PCBsnap should work.
FKM is much stiffer than silicone and does not flex or bounce as much, but in return, it has lower compatibility.

Manufacturer’s recommendations:

  • If the gap between your PCB and case wall is too small, try using Silicone 60A for more flexibility.

  • If you prefer a firmer typing feel, use FKM or Silicone 70A.

  • If after assembling you still feel it’s slightly loose, try adding a few layers of 3M tape at the PCBsnap mounting points.

  • For FKM, do not use more than 4 pieces for the top and bottom edges of the PCB combined.

Purpose of the product:
PCBsnap was designed to replace o-rings and enable a plateless mounting style for keyboards that are not natively supported, and it can be used with both hotswap and soldered PCBs.
