RF-8X Housings

The RF—8X is a minimalist and elegant polycarbonate and aluminum case designed to fit the internals of Realforce R1 keyboards, such as the 86u, 87u, 88u, and 89u.

 Additionally, the enclosure features the widely used Unified Daughterboard, allowing for a modern USB-C connection with your own cable.

For those looking to go beyond the R1 OEM internals, the group-buy also offers optional stainless steel plates and custom PCB.

These add-ons allow you to:

•  Adapt the enclosure with the OEM R2/R3S PCB
•  Upgrade to a new rust-free stainless steel plate
• Upgrade to a Via supported PCB designed by the goat Cipulot
• Complete a full custom build using aftermarket EC parts like Dynacap, Deskeys, and Metapulse.
