Kailh BCP (Black Cherry Pie) Linear Switches

The Kailh BCPs are not the first attempt at someone trying to re-create the cult favorite BCP switches. 

Only this time, we have the SAME cream stem as the original franken BCP as Kailh manufactures Cream switches used in the original recipe. 

More R&D has also been done with the housing materials and molds to polish things up. This switch offers:

1) Same molding texture and runners as the Cherry top housing to retain signature stem tolerance and hand feel. 

2) Thickened bottom housing to achieve 3.5mm of travel distance, resulting in a fuller and more vibrant bottom-out sound.

3) Unchanged original 13.42mm of MX Cream Stem Length - SEDAP

Materials:
Housing materials are another point of consideration; 

The original Cherry top housing is made PA66 from Covestro AG (Former name: Bayer MaterialScience Co.), and the JWK H1 bottom housing was made using JWK's PA66.

 Although Kailh doesn't use the same supplier as Cherry or JWK, PA66 is very common in this hobby even though there might be some minute changes in its composition across manufacturers.

Off Studio and Kailh made sure to use a similar grade of PA66 to manufacture Kailh BCP switches, and they also stressed the fact that the PA66 housing does not come with fiberglass added.
